Ladies, please remember: next time it looks like the systematic abuse of women in the ADF is finally actually being addressed by the ADF itself, make sure you don’t see it as an overdue step in the right direction.

To the two geniuses on my bus who were smugly congratulating themselves because according to their superior intellect, the treatment of Julia Gillard on Howard Sattler’s radio program and the female-body-parts-on-menu liberal party fundraiser ‘wasn’t really sexist’: I don’t remember the last time somebody asked Tony Abbott whether his wife was a lesbian, or made fun of the size of his penis. But yes, keep on congratulating yourselves and explaining sexism to women everywhere.
Happy birthday Anne Frank, you were born on this day (12 June, 1929) 84 years ago. May we never forget the lost humanity you represent, and your own unique self.
